March 11th, 2024
Hello CPMA Families,
I want to thank our community for staying calm and for supporting our efforts last week to reassure students and keep everyone safe. We worked all day with our Campus Police to investigate the threatening posts. We spoke with dozens of students and families attempting to surface the source of the posts. We have determined that the rumored threat is not credible and are planning a series of meetings and assemblies in conjunction with our school police, safety resources, and district resources to educate our students on effective and appropriate ways to manage stress and anger, as well as how to manage social media. We hope that all parents can monitor their students phone use so they are aware of what their students are posting and seeing on social media. I encourage you to check out https://www.commonsensemedia.org/ to review parent resources for supporting your students online identity and social media usage.
Thank you,
Principal Pino Antl

Tardy Recovery Program
How to recover tardies:
Attend a recovery session at Lunch in Room 206 with Ms. Celedon. No need to sign up, just bring your food and arrive within the first 10 minutes of lunch. 20 minutes = 4 tardy credits.
Attend a recovery session at Lunch with any teacher that you make arrangements with. Your teacher can email Ms. Celedon to update your credits.
MARCH 1, 2024 is the end of the P3 grading period. After 3/1/24 students may not make up new tardies that have occurred after 3/1/24. You may continue to make up tardies that were marked between the first day of school and 3/1/24. Tardies that occur after 3/1/24 are not eligible for tardy recovery so please remember to be on time to all classes.

Cell Phone Usage
We appreciate students being cooperative and communicative with us regarding this policy. Our cell phone policy is based on the District Student Cell Phone Use Policy. It contributes to gossip, bullying, and negative interactions on campus. They also distract students from the learning environment.
Core Academy
In an effort to help prepare students obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the ongoing demands of the 21st Century, CPMA staff will conduct Core Academy: Supporting Student Achievement Success, a Saturday session for students to receive additional support in their core classes (Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science).
Bullying Prevention and Reporting
We encourage our students to be up-standers and if they "See Something, Say Something" to reduce bullying on our campus. We investigate all instances of bullying that are reported to our school site. If there are any concerns please email your students counselor or an AP, and or complete the bullying reporting form: Online Bullying Reporting Form
